Who We Are & What We Do
The 1/87 Vehicle Club was established to promote the construction, use, and manufacture of prototypically accurate scale vehicle and equipment models specifically in 1/87 (HO) scale.

1/87 scale is most commonly referred to as "HO" scale because this is the scale of HO gauge model trains, by far the most popular scale for railroad modeling.

Our club assists in the exhibition, promotion, manufacturing, and production research of vehicles of all kinds in 1/87 (HO) scale. This web site and associated events are the place to meet and communicate with other people who are passionate about your hobby.

Email List
The 1/87 Vehicle Club sponsors an e-mail list devoted to the exchange of ideas, news, and information of interest to 1/87 vehicle modelers and collectors. The name of the discussion group is 87scalecars. The list is open and free of charge.

We (finally) have the standards for our Route87 vehicle module concept posted and available for your inspection! We are very pleased to share these with all of you and hope they provide the basis for a worldwide format for displaying 1/87 scale vehicles in a public venue in the future.

In short, our Route87 concept is a set of standards and recommended practices for the construction of realistic display modules for the sole purpose of providing a common platform for displaying 1/87 scale vehicles. We anticipate these new standards opening a whole new window into our little world of scale vehicle modeling! Continue ...
